1 ܘܟ݂ܰܕ݂ ܢܦ݂ܰܩ ܝܶܫܽܘܥ ܡܶܢ ܗܰܝܟ݁ܠܳܐ ܐܶܡܰܪ ܠܶܗ
ܚܰܕ݂ ܡܶܢ ܬ݁ܰܠܡܺܝܕ݂ܰܘܗ݈ܝ ܡܰܠܦ݂ܳܢܳܐ ܗܳܐ ܚܙܺܝ ܐܰܝܠܶܝܢ ܟ݁ܺܐܦ݂ܶܐ ܘܰܐܝܠܶܝܢ ܒ݁ܶܢܝܳܢܶܐ܂

And as Jesus retired from the temple, one of his disciples said to him: Teacher; behold; see these stones, and these structures !
2 ܝܶܫܽܘܥ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܐܶܡܰܪ ܠܶܗ ܚܳܙܶܐ ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁ ܗܳܠܶܝܢ ܒ݁ܶܢܝܳܢܶܐ ܪܰܘܪܒ݂ܶܐ ܠܳܐ
ܡܶܫܬ݁ܰܒ݂ܩܳܐ ܗܳܪܟ݁ܳܐ ܟ݁ܺܐܦ݂ ܥܰܠ ܟ݁ܺܐܦ݂ ܕ݁ܠܳܐ ܡܶܣܬ݁ܰܬ݂ܪܳܐ܂

And Jesus said to him: Admirest thou these great structures ? There will not be left here one stone upon another, not demolished.
3 ܘܟ݂ܰܕ݂
ܝܺܬ݂ܶܒ݂ ܝܶܫܽܘܥ ܒ݁ܛܽܘܪܳܐ ܕ݁ܙܰܝܬ݁ܶܐ ܠܽܘܩܒ݂ܰܠ ܗܰܝܟ݁ܠܳܐ ܫܰܐܠܽܘܗ݈ܝ ܟ݁ܺܐܦ݂ܳܐ ܘܝܰܥܩܽܘܒ݂
ܘܝܽܘܚܰܢܳܢ ܘܰܐܢܕ݁ܪܶܐܘܳܣ ܒ݁ܰܠܚܽܘܕ݂ܰܝܗܽܘܢ܂

And as Jesus was sitting on the mount of Olives, over against the temple, Cephas and James and John and Andrew asked him, privately:
4 ܐܶܡܰܪ ܠܰܢ ܐܶܡܰܬ݂ܝ ܗܳܠܶܝܢ
ܢܶܗܘܝܳܢ ܘܡܳܢܳܐ ܐܳܬ݂ܳܐ ܡܳܐ ܕ݁ܩܰܪܺܝܒ݂ܳܢ ܗܳܠܶܝܢ ܟ݁ܽܠܗܶܝܢ ܠܡܶܫܬ݁ܰܠܳܡܽܘ܂

Tell us, when will these things be? and what [will be] the sign that these things approach their consummation ?
5 ܗܽܘ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܝܶܫܽܘܥ ܫܰܪܺܝ ܠܡܺܐܡܰܪ ܠܗܽܘܢ ܚܙܰܘ ܕ݁ܰܠܡܳܐ ܐ݈ܢܳܫ ܢܰܛܥܶܝܟ݂ܽܘܢ܂

And Jesus began to say to them Beware, that no one mislead you:
6 ܣܰܓ݁ܺܝܶܐܐ ܓ݁ܶܝܪ ܢܺܐܬ݂ܽܘܢ ܒ݁ܫܶܡܝ ܘܢܺܐܡܪܽܘܢ ܕ݁ܶܐܢܳܐ ܐ݈ܢܳܐ ܘܰܠܣܰܓ݁ܺܝܶܐܐ
ܢܰܛܥܽܘܢ܂

for many will come in my name, and will say: I am he. And they will mislead many.
7 ܡܳܐ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܕ݁ܰܫܡܰܥܬ݁ܽܘܢ ܩܪܳܒ݂ܶܐ ܘܛܶܒ݁ܳܐ ܕ݁ܩܺܐܪܣܶܐ ܠܳܐ
ܬ݁ܶܕ݂ܚܠܽܘܢ ܥܬ݂ܺܝܕ݂ ܗ݈ܽܘ ܕ݁ܢܶܗܘܶܐ ܐܶܠܳܐ ܠܳܐ ܥܕ݂ܰܟ݁ܺܝܠ ܚܰܪܬ݂ܳܐ܂

But when ye shall hear of battles, and the rumor of battles, be not afraid; for this must be; but the end is not yet.
8 ܢܩܽܘܡ
ܓ݁ܶܝܪ ܥܰܡܳܐ ܥܰܠ ܥܰܡܳܐ ܘܡܰܠܟ݁ܽܘ ܥܰܠ ܡܰܠܟ݁ܽܘ ܘܢܶܗܘܽܘܢ ܙܰܘܥܶܐ ܒ݁ܕ݂ܽܘܟ݁ܳܐ ܕ݁ܽܘܟ݁ܳܐ
ܘܢܶܗܘܽܘܢ ܟ݁ܰܦ݂ܢܶܐ ܘܰܫܓ݂ܽܘܫܝܶܐ ܗܳܠܶܝܢ ܪܺܫܳܐ ܐܶܢܶܝܢ ܕ݁ܚܶܒ݂ܠܶܐ܂

For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be earthquakes in several places, and there will be famines and insurrections. These are the beginning of sorrows.
9 ܚܙܰܘ
ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁ܽܘܢ ܢܰܦ݂ܫܟ݂ܽܘܢ ܢܰܫܠܡܽܘܢܳܟ݂ܽܘܢ ܓ݁ܶܝܪ ܠܕ݂ܰܝܳܢܶܐ ܘܒ݂ܰܟ݂ܢܽܘܫܳܬ݂ܗܽܘܢ
ܬ݁ܶܬ݂ܢܰܓ݁ܕ݂ܽܘܢ ܘܰܩܕ݂ܳܡ ܡܰܠܟ݁ܶܐ ܘܗܺܓ݂ܡܽܘܢܶܐ ܬ݁ܩܽܘܡܽܘܢ ܡܶܛܽܠܳܬ݂ܝ ܠܣܳܗܕ݁ܽܘܬ݂ܗܽܘܢ܂

And take heed to yourselves; for they will deliver you up to the tribunals; and ye will be beaten in the synagogues, and ye will stand before kings and governors, on my account, for a testimony to them.
10 ܠܽܘܩܕ݂ܰܡ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܥܬ݂ܺܝܕ݂ܳܐ ܕ݁ܬ݂ܶܬ݂ܟ݁ܪܶܙ ܣܒ݂ܰܪܬ݂ܝ ܒ݁ܟ݂ܽܠܗܽܘܢ ܥܰܡ݈ܡܶܐ܂

And my tidings must first be proclaimed among all the nations.
11 ܡܳܐ ܕ݁ܰܡܩܰܪܒ݂ܺܝܢ ܠܟ݂ܽܘܢ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܕ݁ܢܰܫܠܡܽܘܢܳܟ݂ܽܘܢ ܠܳܐ ܬ݁ܩܰܕ݁ܡܽܘܢ
ܬ݁ܺܐܨܦ݁ܽܘܢ ܡܳܢܳܐ ܬ݁ܡܰܠܠܽܘܢ ܘܠܳܐ ܬ݁ܶܪܢܽܘܢ ܐܶܠܳܐ ܡܶܕ݁ܶܡ ܕ݁ܡܶܬ݂ܺܝܗܶܒ݂ ܠܟ݂ܽܘܢ ܒ݁ܗܳܝ
ܫܳܥܬ݂ܳܐ ܗܰܘ ܡܰܠܶܠܘ ܠܳܐ ܗ݈ܘܳܐ ܓ݁ܶܝܪ ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁ܽܘܢ ܡܡܰܠܠܺܝܢ ܐܶܠܳܐ ܪܽܘܚܳܐ ܕ݁ܩܽܘܕ݂ܫܳܐ܂

And when they shall lead you to deliver you up, be not solicitous beforehand what ye shall say, neither premeditate; but, that which shall be given you in that hour, speak ye; for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit.
12 ܢܰܫܠܶܡ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܐܰܚܳܐ ܠܰܐܚܽܘܗ݈ܝ ܠܡܰܘܬ݁ܳܐ ܘܰܐܒ݂ܳܐ ܠܰܒ݂ܪܶܗ ܘܰܢܩܽܘܡܽܘܢ
ܒ݁ܢܰܝܳܐ ܥܰܠ ܐܰܒ݂ܳܗܰܝܗܽܘܢ ܘܰܢܡܺܝܬ݂ܽܘܢ ܐܶܢܽܘܢ܂

And brother will deliver up his brother to death, and the father his son; and children will rise up against their parents, and will kill them.
13 ܘܬ݂ܶܗܘܽܘܢ ܣܢܺܝܐܝܺܢ ܡܶܢ
ܟ݁ܽܠܢܳܫ ܡܶܛܽܠ ܫܶܡܝ ܡܰܢ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܕ݁ܰܢܣܰܝܒ݁ܰܪ ܥܕ݂ܰܡܳܐ ܠܚܰܪܬ݂ܳܐ ܗܽܘ ܢܺܚܶܐ܂

And ye will be hated of every man, on account of my name. But whoever shall persevere to the end, shall live.
14 ܡܳܐ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܕ݁ܰܚܙܰܝܬ݁ܽܘܢ ܐܳܬ݂ܳܐ ܛܰܢܦ݂ܬ݂ܳܐ ܕ݁ܚܽܘܪܒ݁ܳܐ ܗܳܝ ܕ݁ܰܐܡܺܝܪܳܐ
ܒ݁ܕ݂ܳܢܺܝܐܝܶܠ ܢܒ݂ܺܝܳܐ ܕ݁ܩܳܝܡܳܐ ܐܰܝܟ݁ܳܐ ܕ݁ܠܳܐ ܘܳܠܶܐ ܗܰܘ ܕ݁ܩܳܪܶܐ ܢܶܣܬ݁ܰܟ݁ܰܠ
ܗܳܝܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܐܰܝܠܶܝܢ ܕ݁ܒ݂ܺܝܗܽܘܕ݂ ܐܶܢܽܘܢ ܢܶܥܪܩܽܘܢ ܠܛܽܘܪܳܐ܂

And when ye see the profane sign of desolation, which was mentioned by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not; (let him that readeth, understand;) then let those that are in Judaea, flee to the mountain:
15 ܘܡܰܢ
ܕ݁ܒ݂ܶܐܓ݁ܳܪܳܐ ܗ݈ܘ ܠܳܐ ܢܶܚܽܘܬ݂ ܘܠܳܐ ܢܶܥܽܘܠ ܠܡܶܫܩܰܠ ܡܶܕ݁ܶܡ ܡܶܢ ܒ݁ܰܝܬ݁ܶܗ܂

ומן
דבאגרא הו לא נחות ולא נעול למשקל מדם מן ביתה܂
15
and let him that is on the roof, not come down and enter [it], to take any thing from his house:
16 ܘܡܰܢ ܕ݁ܰܒ݂ܚܰܩܠܳܐ ܗ݈ܘ ܠܳܐ ܢܶܬ݂ܗܦ݂ܶܟ݂ ܠܒ݂ܶܣܬ݁ܪܶܗ ܕ݁ܢܶܫܩܽܘܠ ܠܒ݂ܳܫܶܗ܂

ומן דבחקלא הו לא נתהפך לבסתרה דנשקול לבשה܂
16
and let him that is in the field, not return back to take his clothing.
17 ܘܳܝ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܠܒ݂ܰܛܢܳܬ݂ܳܐ ܘܠܰܐܝܠܶܝܢ ܕ݁ܡܰܝܢܩܳܢ ܒ݁ܗܳܢܽܘܢ ܝܰܘܡܳܬ݂ܳܐ܂

וי דין לבטנתא ולאילין דמינקן בהנון יומתא܂
17
But, woe to those with child, and to those who nurse children, in those days !
18 ܨܰܠܰܘ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܕ݁ܠܳܐ ܢܶܗܘܶܐ ܥܪܽܘܩܺܝܟ݂ܽܘܢ ܒ݁ܣܰܬ݂ܘܳܐ܂

צלו דין דלא נהוא ערוקיכון בסתוא܂
18
And pray ye, that your flight be not in winter.
19 ܢܶܗܘܶܐ ܓ݁ܶܝܪ ܒ݁ܝܰܘܡܳܬ݂ܳܐ ܗܳܢܽܘܢ ܐܽܘܠܨܳܢܳܐ ܕ݁ܠܳܐ ܗܘܳܐ ܐܰܟ݂ܘܳܬ݂ܶܗ ܡܶܢ
ܪܺܝܫ ܒ݁ܪܺܝܬ݂ܳܐ ܕ݁ܰܒ݂ܪܳܐ ܐܰܠܳܗܳܐ ܥܕ݂ܰܡܳܐ ܠܗܳܫܳܐ ܘܠܳܐ ܢܶܗܘܶܐ܂

נהוא גיר ביומתא הנון אולצנא דלא הוא אכותה מן
ריש בריתא דברא אלהא עדמא להשא ולא נהוא܂
19
For in those days will be affliction, such as hath not been from the beginning of the creation that God made until now, and shall not be.
20 ܘܶܐܠܽܘ
ܠܳܐ ܡܳܪܝܳܐ ܕ݁ܟ݂ܰܪܺܝ ܝܰܘܡܳܬ݂ܳܐ ܗܳܢܽܘܢ ܠܳܐ ܚܳܝܶܐ ܗ݈ܘܳܐ ܟ݁ܽܠ ܒ݁ܣܰܪ ܐܶܠܳܐ ܡܶܛܽܠ
ܓ݁ܒ݂ܰܝܳܐ ܕ݁ܰܓ݂ܒ݂ܳܐ ܟ݁ܰܪܺܝ ܝܰܘܡܳܬ݂ܳܐ ܗܳܢܽܘܢ܂

ואלו
לא מריא דכרי יומתא הנון לא חיא הוא כל בסר אלא מטל
גביא דגבא כרי יומתא הנון܂
20
And, unless God should shorten those days, no flesh would live. But, on account of the elect whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened those days.
21 ܗܳܝܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܐܶܢ ܐ݈ܢܳܫ
ܢܺܐܡܰܪ ܠܟ݂ܽܘܢ ܕ݁ܗܳܐ ܗܳܪܟ݁ܳܐ ܗ݈ܘ ܡܫܺܝܚܳܐ ܘܗܳܐ ܗܳܪܬ݁ܰܡܳܢ ܠܳܐ ܬ݁ܗܰܝܡܢܽܘܢ܂

הידין אן אנש
נאמר לכון דהא הרכא הו משיחא והא הרתמן לא תהימנון܂
21
Then, if any one shall say to you: Lo, here is Messiah, or lo, there; give not credence.
22 ܢܩܽܘܡܽܘܢ ܓ݁ܶܝܪ ܡܫܺܝܚܶܐ ܕ݁ܕ݂ܰܓ݁ܳܠܽܘܬ݂ܳܐ ܘܰܢܒ݂ܺܝܶܐ ܕ݁ܟ݂ܰܕ݁ܳܒ݂ܽܘܬ݂ܳܐ
ܘܢܶܬ݁ܠܽܘܢ ܐܳܬ݂ܘܳܬ݂ܳܐ ܘܬ݂ܶܕ݂ܡܪܳܬ݂ܳܐ ܘܢܰܛܥܽܘܢ ܐܶܢ ܡܶܫܟ݁ܚܳܐ ܐܳܦ݂ ܠܰܓ݂ܒ݂ܰܝܳܐ܂

נקומון גיר משיחא דדגלותא ונביא דכדבותא
ונתלון אתותא ותדמרתא ונטעון אן משכחא אף לגביא܂
22
For false Messiahs will arise, and lying prophets; and they will give signs and wonders; and will deceive, if possible, even the elect.
23 ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁ܽܘܢ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܐܶܙܕ݁ܰܗ݈ܪܘ ܗܳܐ ܩܰܕ݁ܡܶܬ݂ ܐܶܡܪܶܬ݂ ܠܟ݂ܽܘܢ ܟ݁ܽܠ ܡܶܕ݁ܶܡ܂

אנתון דין אזדהרו הא קדמת אמרת לכון כל מדם܂

But take ye heed. Lo, I have told you the whole beforehand.
24 ܒ݁ܗܳܢܽܘܢ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܝܰܘܡܳܬ݂ܳܐ ܒ݁ܳܬ݂ܰܪ ܐܽܘܠܨܳܢܳܐ ܗܰܘ ܫܶܡܫܳܐ ܢܶܚܫܰܟ݂
ܘܣܰܗܪܳܐ ܠܳܐ ܢܶܬ݁ܶܠ ܢܽܘܗܪܶܗ܂

בהנון דין יומתא בתר אולצנא הו שמשא נחשך
וסהרא לא נתל נוהרה܂
24
And in those days, after that affliction, the sun will be darkened; and the moon will not give her light;
25 ܘܟ݂ܰܘܟ݁ܒ݂ܶܐ ܢܶܦ݁ܠܽܘܢ ܡܶܢ ܫܡܰܝܳܐ
ܘܚܰܝܠܰܘܳܬ݂ܳܐ ܕ݁ܰܫܡܰܝܳܐ ܢܶܬ݁ܬ݁ܙܺܝܥܽܘܢ܂

וכוכבא נפלון מן שמיא
וחילותא דשמיא נתתזיעון܂
25
and the stars will fall from heaven; and the powers of heaven will be shaken.
26 ܘܗܳܝܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܢܶܚܙܽܘܢܳܝܗ݈ܝ
ܠܰܒ݂ܪܶܗ ܕ݁ܐ݈ܢܳܫܳܐ ܟ݁ܰܕ݂ ܐܳܬ݂ܶܐ ܒ݁ܰܥܢܳܢܶܐ ܥܰܡ ܚܰܝܠܳܐ ܪܰܒ݁ܳܐ ܘܥܰܡ ܫܽܘܒ݂ܚܳܐ܂

והידין נחזוניהי
לברה דאנשא כד אתא בעננא עם חילא רבא ועם שובחא܂
26
And then will they see the Son of man coming in the clouds, with great power and glory.
27 ܗܳܝܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܢܫܰܕ݁ܰܪ ܡܰܠܰܐܟ݂ܰܘܗ݈ܝ ܘܰܢܟ݂ܰܢܶܫ ܠܰܓ݂ܒ݂ܰܘܗ݈ܝ ܡܶܢ
ܐܰܪܒ݁ܥܳܬ݂ܰܝܗܶܝܢ ܪܽܘܚܶܐ ܡܶܢ ܪܺܫܳܗ ܕ݁ܰܐܪܥܳܐ ܘܰܥܕ݂ܰܡܳܐ ܠܪܺܫܳܗ ܕ݁ܰܫܡܰܝܳܐ܂

הידין נשדר מלאכוהי ונכנש לגבוהי מן
ארבעתיהין רוחא מן רשה דארעא ועדמא לרשה דשמיא܂
27
And then will he send forth his angels, and will assemble his elect from the four winds, from the extremity of earth to the extremity of heaven.
28 ܡܶܢ ܬ݁ܺܬ݁ܳܐ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܝܺܠܰܦ݂ܘ ܦ݁ܶܠܶܐܬ݂ܳܐ ܕ݁ܡܳܐ ܕ݁ܪܰܟ݂ ܣܰܘܟ݁ܶܝܗ ܘܰܦ݂ܪܰܥܘ
ܛܰܪܦ݂ܶܝܗ ܝܳܕ݂ܥܺܝܢ ܐܢ݈ܬ݁ܽܘܢ ܕ݁ܰܡܛܳܐ ܩܰܝܛܳܐ܂

מן תתא דין ילפו פלאתא דמא דרך סוכיה ופרעו
טרפיה ידעין אנתון דמטא קיטא܂
28
And, from the fig-tree learn ye a simile. When its twigs are tender, and its leaves bud forth, ye know that summer approacheth.
29 ܗܳܟ݂ܰܢܳܐ ܐܳܦ݂ ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁ܽܘܢ
ܡܳܐ ܕ݁ܰܚܙܰܝܬ݁ܽܘܢ ܗܳܠܶܝܢ ܕ݁ܗܳܘܝܳܢ ܕ݁ܰܥܘ ܕ݁ܩܰܪܺܝܒ݂ܳܐ ܗ݈ܝ ܥܰܠ ܬ݁ܰܪܥܳܐ܂

הכנא אף אנתון
מא דחזיתון הלין דהוין דעו דקריבא הי על תרעא܂
29
So also, when ye shall see these occurrences, know ye, that it is near, at the door.
30 ܐܰܡܺܝܢ ܐܳܡܰܪ ܐ݈ܢܳܐ ܠܟ݂ܽܘܢ ܕ݁ܠܳܐ ܬ݁ܶܥܒ݁ܰܪ ܫܰܪܒ݁ܬ݂ܳܐ ܗܳܕ݂ܶܐ ܥܕ݂ܰܡܳܐ
ܕ݁ܗܳܠܶܝܢ ܟ݁ܽܠܗܶܝܢ ܢܶܗܘܝܳܢ܂

אמין אמר אנא לכון דלא תעבר שרבתא הדא עדמא
דהלין כלהין נהוין܂
30
Verily I say to you, That this generation shall not pass away, until all these things occur.
31 ܫܡܰܝܳܐ ܘܰܐܪܥܳܐ ܢܶܥܒ݁ܪܽܘܢ ܘܡܶܠܰܝ ܠܳܐ
ܢܶܥܒ݁ܪܳܢ܂

שמיא וארעא נעברון ומלי לא
נעברן܂

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
32 ܥܰܠ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܝܰܘܡܳܐ ܗܰܘ ܘܥܰܠ ܫܳܥܬ݂ܳܐ ܗܳܝ ܐ݈ܢܳܫ ܠܳܐ ܝܳܕ݂ܰܥ
ܐܳܦ݂ܠܳܐ ܡܰܠܰܐܟ݂ܶܐ ܕ݁ܰܫܡܰܝܳܐ ܘܠܳܐ ܒ݁ܪܳܐ ܐܶܠܳܐ ܐܶܢ ܐܰܒ݂ܳܐ܂

על דין יומא הו ועל שעתא הי אנש לא ידע
אפלא מלאכא דשמיא ולא ברא אלא אן אבא܂

But of that day and that hour, knoweth no man; nor the angels of heaven; neither the Son, but the Father.
33 ܚܙܰܘ
ܐܶܬ݁ܬ݁ܥܺܝܪܘ ܘܨܰܠܰܘ ܠܳܐ ܓ݁ܶܝܪ ܝܳܕ݂ܥܺܝܢ ܐܢ݈ܬ݁ܽܘܢ ܐܶܡܰܬ݂ܝ ܗ݈ܽܘ ܙܰܒ݂ܢܳܐ܂

חזו
אתתעירו וצלו לא גיר ידעין אנתון אמתי הו זבנא܂
33
Take heed, watch, and pray; for ye know not when the time is.
34 ܐܰܝܟ݂ ܓ݁ܰܒ݂ܪܳܐ ܗ݈ܘ ܓ݁ܶܝܪ ܕ݁ܰܚܙܰܩ ܘܰܫܒ݂ܰܩ ܒ݁ܰܝܬ݁ܶܗ ܘܝܰܗ݈ܒ݂ ܫܽܘܠܛܳܢܳܐ
ܠܥܰܒ݂ܕ݁ܰܘܗ݈ܝ ܘܰܠܐ݈ܢܳܫ ܐ݈ܢܳܫ ܥܒ݂ܳܕ݂ܶܗ ܘܰܠܬ݂ܳܪܥܳܐ ܦ݁ܰܩܶܕ݂ ܕ݁ܢܶܗܘܶܐ ܥܺܝܪ܂

איך גברא הו גיר דחזק ושבק ביתה ויהב שולטנא
לעבדוהי ולאנש אנש עבדה ולתרעא פקד דנהוא עיר܂

For it is as a man, who took a journey, and left his home; and he gave authority to his servants, and to each his service; and he commanded the porter to be watchful.
35 ܐܶܬ݁ܬ݁ܥܺܝܪܘ ܗܳܟ݂ܺܝܠ ܕ݁ܠܳܐ ܝܳܕ݂ܥܺܝܢ ܐܢ݈ܬ݁ܽܘܢ ܐܶܡܰܬ݂ܝ ܐܳܬ݂ܶܐ ܡܳܪܶܗ
ܕ݁ܒ݂ܰܝܬ݁ܳܐ ܒ݁ܪܰܡܫܳܐ ܐܰܘ ܒ݁ܦ݂ܶܠܓ݁ܶܗ ܕ݁ܠܺܠܝܳܐ ܐܰܘ ܒ݁ܡܰܩܪܳܐ ܬ݁ܰܪܢܳܓ݂ܠܳܐ ܐܰܘ
ܒ݁ܨܰܦ݂ܪܳܐ܂

אתתעירו הכיל דלא ידעין אנתון אמתי אתא מרה
דביתא ברמשא או בפלגה דלליא או במקרא תרנגלא או
בצפרא܂

Watch ye, therefore; for ye know not when the lord of the house cometh; at evening, or at midnight, or at the cock-crowing, or in the morning:
36 ܕ݁ܰܠܡܳܐ ܢܺܐܬ݂ܶܐ ܡܶܢ ܫܶܠܝܳܐ ܘܢܶܫܟ݁ܰܚܟ݂ܽܘܢ ܟ݁ܰܕ݂ ܕ݁ܰܡܟ݁ܺܝܢ
ܐܢ݈ܬ݁ܽܘܢ܂

דלמא נאתא מן שליא ונשכחכון כד דמכין
אנתון܂

lest he come suddenly, and find you sleeping.
37 ܡܶܕ݁ܶܡ ܕ݁ܰܠܟ݂ܽܘܢ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܐܳܡܰܪ ܐ݈ܢܳܐ ܠܟ݂ܽܠܟ݂ܽܘܢ ܗ݈ܽܘ ܐܳܡܰܪ
ܐ݈ܢܳܐ ܗܘܰܝܬ݁ܽܘܢ ܥܺܝܪܺܝܢ܂

מדם דלכון דין אמר אנא לכלכון הו אמר
אנא הויתון עירין܂
37
And what I say to you, I say to you all: Be ye watchful.
