ܐܺܝܬ݂ܰܘܗ݈ܝ ܗ݈ܘܳܐ ܠܘܳܬ݂ ܐܰܠܳܗܳܐ ܘܰܐܠܳܗܳܐ ܐܺܝܬ݂ܰܘܗ݈ܝ ܗ݈ܘܳܐ ܗܽܘ ܡܶܠܬ݂ܳܐ܂

In the beginning, was the Word; and the Word was with God; and the Word was God.
2 ܗܳܢܳܐ ܐܺܝܬ݂ܰܘܗ݈ܝ ܗ݈ܘܳܐ ܒ݁ܪܺܫܺܝܬ݂ ܠܘܳܬ݂ ܐܰܠܳܗܳܐ܂

He was in the beginning with God.

ܒ݁ܺܐܝܕ݂ܶܗ ܗܘܳܐ ܘܒ݂ܶܠܥܳܕ݂ܰܘܗ݈ܝ ܐܳܦ݂ܠܳܐ ܚܕ݂ܳܐ ܗܘܳܬ݂ ܡܶܕ݁ܶܡ ܕ݁ܰܗܘܳܐ܂

Every thing was by his hand; and without him, was not any thing whatever that existed.
4 ܒ݁ܶܗ ܚܰܝܶܐ ܗܘܳܐ ܘܚܰܝܶܐ ܐܺܝܬ݂ܰܝܗܽܘܢ ܢܽܘܗܪܳܐ ܕ݁ܰܒ݂ܢܰܝܢܳܫܳܐ܂

In him was life ; and the life was the light of man.
5 ܘܗܽܘ ܢܽܘܗܪܳܐ ܒ݁ܚܶܫܽܘܟ݂ܳܐ ܡܰܢܗܰܪ ܘܚܶܫܽܘܟ݂ܳܐ ܠܳܐ ܐܰܕ݂ܪܟ݂ܶܗ܂

And this light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness apprehended it not.
6 ܗܘܳܐ ܒ݁ܰܪܢܳܫܳܐ ܕ݁ܶܐܫܬ݁ܰܕ݁ܰܪ ܡܶܢ ܐܰܠܳܗܳܐ ܫܡܶܗ ܝܽܘܚܰܢܳܢ܂

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 ܗܳܢܳܐ ܐܶܬ݂ܳܐ ܠܣܳܗܕ݁ܽܘܬ݂ܳܐ ܕ݁ܢܶܣܗܰܕ݂ ܥܰܠ ܢܽܘܗܪܳܐ ܕ݁ܟ݂ܽܠܢܳܫ ܢܗܰܝܡܶܢ
ܒ݁ܺܐܝܕ݂ܶܗ܂

He came for testimony, to bear witness concerning the light.
8 ܠܳܐ ܗܽܘ ܗܘܳܐ ܢܽܘܗܪܳܐ ܐܶܠܳܐ ܕ݁ܢܶܣܗܰܕ݂ ܥܰܠ ܢܽܘܗܪܳܐ܂

He was not himself the light, but [came] to bear witness concerning the light.
9 ܐܺܝܬ݂ܰܘܗ݈ܝ ܗ݈ܘܳܐ ܓ݁ܶܝܪ ܢܽܘܗܪܳܐ ܕ݁ܰܫܪܳܪܳܐ ܕ݁ܡܰܢܗܰܪ ܠܟ݂ܽܠܢܳܫ ܕ݁ܳܐܬ݂ܶܐ

The true light was that, which enlighteneth every man who cometh into the world.
10 ܒ݁ܥܳܠܡܳܐ ܗ݈ܘܳܐ ܘܥܳܠܡܳܐ ܒ݁ܺܐܝܕ݂ܶܗ ܗܘܳܐ ܘܥܳܠܡܳܐ ܠܳܐ ܝܰܕ݂ܥܶܗ܂

He was in the world; and the world was by his hand; and the world did not know him.
11 ܠܕ݂ܺܝܠܶܗ ܐܶܬ݂ܳܐ ܘܕ݂ܺܝܠܶܗ ܠܳܐ ܩܰܒ݁ܠܽܘܗ݈ܝ܂

He came to his own [people]; and his own [people] received him not.
12 ܐܰܝܠܶܝܢ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ
ܕ݁ܩܰܒ݁ܠܽܘܗ݈ܝ ܝܰܗ݈ܒ݂ ܠܗܽܘܢ ܫܽܘܠܛܳܢܳܐ ܕ݁ܰܒ݂ܢܰܝܳܐ ܕ݁ܰܐܠܳܗܳܐ ܢܶܗܘܽܘܢ ܠܰܐܝܠܶܝܢ
ܕ݁ܰܡܗܰܝܡܢܺܝܢ ܒ݁ܰܫܡܶܗ܂

But such as received him, to them gave he the prerogative to be children of God; [even] to them that believe on his name;
13 ܐܰܝܠܶܝܢ ܕ݁ܠܰܘ ܡܶܢ ܕ݁ܡܳܐ ܘܠܳܐ ܡܶܢ ܨܶܒ݂ܝܳܢܳܐ
ܕ݁ܒ݂ܶܣܪܳܐ ܘܠܳܐ ܡܶܢ ܨܶܒ݂ܝܳܢܳܐ ܕ݁ܓ݂ܰܒ݂ܪܳܐ ܐܶܠܳܐ ܡܶܢ ܐܰܠܳܗܳܐ ܐܶܬ݂ܺܝܠܶܕ݂ܘ܂

who are born, not of blood, nor of the pleasure of the flesh, nor of the pleasure of man, but of God.
14 ܘܡܶܠܬ݂ܳܐ ܒ݁ܶܣܪܳܐ ܗܘܳܐ ܘܰܐܓ݁ܶܢ ܒ݁ܰܢ ܘܰܚܙܰܝܢ ܫܽܘܒ݂ܚܶܗ ܫܽܘܒ݂ܚܳܐ ܐܰܝܟ݂
ܕ݁ܺܝܚܺܝܕ݂ܳܝܳܐ ܕ݁ܡܶܢ ܐܰܒ݂ܳܐ ܕ݁ܰܡܠܶܐ ܛܰܝܒ݁ܽܘܬ݂ܳܐ ܘܩܽܘܫܬ݁ܳܐ܂

And the: Word became flesh, and tabernacled with us: and we saw his glory, a glory as of the only begotten from the Father, that he was full of grace and truth.
15 ܝܽܘܚܰܢܳܢ
ܣܗܶܕ݂ ܥܠܰܘܗ݈ܝ ܘܰܩܥܳܐ ܘܶܐܡܰܪ ܗܳܢܰܘ ܗܰܘ ܕ݁ܶܐܡܪܶܬ݂ ܕ݁ܒ݂ܳܬ݂ܰܪܝ ܐܳܬ݂ܶܐ ܘܰܗܘܳܐ ܠܶܗ
ܩܕ݂ܳܡܰܝ ܡܶܛܽܠ ܕ݁ܩܰܕ݂ܡܳܝ ܗ݈ܽܘ ܡܶܢܝ܂

John testified of him, and cried, and said: This is he, of whom I said, That he cometh after me, and is before me; for he was prior to me.
16 ܘܡܶܢ ܡܰܠܝܽܘܬ݂ܶܗ ܚܢܰܢ ܟ݁ܽܠܰܢ
ܢܣܰܒ݂ܢ ܘܛܰܝܒ݁ܽܘܬ݂ܳܐ ܚܠܳܦ݂ ܛܰܝܒ݁ܽܘܬ݂ܳܐ܂

And of his plenitude have we all received, and grace for grace.
17 ܡܶܛܽܠ ܕ݁ܢܳܡܽܘܣܳܐ ܒ݁ܝܰܕ݂
ܡܽܘܫܶܐ ܐܶܬ݂ܺܝܗܶܒ݂ ܫܪܳܪܳܐ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܘܛܰܝܒ݁ܽܘܬ݂ܳܐ ܒ݁ܝܰܕ݂ ܝܶܫܽܘܥ ܡܫܺܝܚܳܐ ܗܘܳܐ܂

For the law was given by the hand of Moses; but the reality and grace was by the hand of Jesus Messiah.
18 ܐܰܠܳܗܳܐ ܠܳܐ ܚܙܳܐ ܐ݈ܢܳܫ ܡܶܡܬ݂ܽܘܡ ܝܺܚܺܝܕ݂ܳܝܳܐ ܐܰܠܳܗܳܐ ܗܰܘ
ܕ݁ܺܐܝܬ݂ܰܘܗ݈ܝ ܒ݁ܥܽܘܒ݁ܳܐ ܕ݁ܰܐܒ݂ܽܘܗ݈ܝ ܗܽܘ ܐܶܫܬ݁ܰܥܺܝ܂

No man hath ever seen God; the only begotten God, he who is in the bosom of his Father, he hath declared [him].
19 ܘܗܳܕ݂ܶܐ ܗܺܝ
ܣܳܗܕ݁ܽܘܬ݂ܶܗ ܕ݁ܝܽܘܚܰܢܳܢ ܟ݁ܰܕ݂ ܫܰܕ݁ܰܪܘ ܠܘܳܬ݂ܶܗ ܝܺܗܽܘܕ݂ܳܝܶܐ ܡܶܢ ܐܽܘܪܺܫܠܶܡ ܟ݁ܳܗܢܶܐ
ܘܠܶܘܳܝܶܐ ܕ݁ܰܢܫܰܐܠܽܘܢܳܝܗ݈ܝ ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁ ܡܰܢ ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁܂

And this is the testimony of John, when the Jews of Jerusalem sent to him priests and Levites, to ask him, Who art thou?
20 ܘܰܐܘܕ݁ܺܝ ܘܠܳܐ ܟ݁ܦ݂ܰܪ
ܘܰܐܘܕ݁ܺܝ ܕ݁ܠܰܘ ܐܶܢܳܐ ܐ݈ܢܳܐ ܡܫܺܝܚܳܐ܂

And he confessed, and denied not, but confessed I am not the Messiah.
21 ܘܫܰܐܠܽܘܗ݈ܝ ܬ݁ܽܘܒ݂ ܡܳܢܳܐ ܗܳܟ݂ܺܝܠ
ܐܺܠܺܝܳܐ ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁ ܘܶܐܡܰܪ ܠܳܐ ܐܺܝܬ݂ܰܝ ܢܒ݂ܺܝܳܐ ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁ ܘܶܐܡܰܪ ܠܳܐ܂

And they asked him again: Who then ? Art thou Elijah ? And he said: I am not. Art thou a prophet? And he said, No.
22 ܘܶܐܡܰܪܘ ܠܶܗ ܘܡܰܢܽܘ ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁ ܕ݁ܢܶܬ݁ܶܠ ܦ݁ܶܬ݂ܓ݂ܳܡܳܐ ܠܰܐܝܠܶܝܢ ܕ݁ܫܰܕ݁ܪܽܘܢ
ܡܳܢܳܐ ܐܳܡܰܪ ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁ ܥܰܠ ܢܰܦ݂ܫܳܟ݂܂

And they said to him: Who art thou? that we may give answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?
23 ܐܶܡܰܪ ܐܶܢܳܐ ܩܳܠܳܐ ܕ݁ܩܳܪܶܐ
ܒ݁ܡܰܕ݂ܒ݁ܪܳܐ ܕ݁ܰܐܫܘܰܘ ܐܽܘܪܚܶܗ ܕ݁ܡܳܪܝܳܐ ܐܰܝܟ݁ܰܢܳܐ ܕ݁ܶܐܡܰܪ ܐܶܫܰܥܝܳܐ ܢܒ݂ܺܝܳܐ܂

He said: I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make smooth the way of the Lord; as said the prophet Isaiah.
24 ܗܳܢܽܘܢ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܕ݁ܶܐܫܬ݁ܰܕ݁ܰܪܘ ܡܶܢ ܦ݁ܪܺܝܫܶܐ ܗ݈ܘܰܘ܂

And they who were sent, were of the Pharisees.
25 ܘܫܰܐܠܽܘܗ݈ܝ ܘܶܐܡܰܪܘ ܠܶܗ ܡܳܢܳܐ ܗܳܟ݂ܺܝܠ ܡܰܥܡܶܕ݂ ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁ ܐܶܢ ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁ ܠܳܐ
ܐܺܝܬ݂ܰܝܟ݁ ܡܫܺܝܚܳܐ ܘܠܳܐ ܐܺܠܺܝܳܐ ܘܠܳܐ ܢܒ݂ܺܝܳܐ܂

And they asked him, and said to him: Why then baptizest thou, if thou art not the Messiah, nor Elijah, nor a prophet?
26 ܥܢܳܐ ܝܽܘܚܰܢܳܢ ܘܶܐܡܰܪ
ܠܗܽܘܢ ܐܶܢܳܐ ܡܰܥܡܶܕ݂ ܐ݈ܢܳܐ ܒ݁ܡܰܝܳܐ ܒ݁ܰܝܢܳܬ݂ܟ݂ܽܘܢ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܩܳܐܶܡ ܗܰܘ ܕ݁ܰܐܢ݈ܬ݁ܽܘܢ ܠܳܐ
ܝܳܕ݂ܥܺܝܢ ܐܢ݈ܬ݁ܽܘܢ ܠܶܗ܂

John answered, and said to them; I baptize with water; but among you standeth one, whom ye do not know.
27 ܗܳܢܰܘ ܗܰܘ ܕ݁ܒ݂ܳܬ݂ܰܪܝ ܐܳܬ݂ܶܐ ܘܰܗܘܳܐ ܠܶܗ
ܩܕ݂ܳܡܰܝ ܗܰܘ ܕ݁ܶܐܢܳܐ ܠܳܐ ܫܳܘܶܐ ܐ݈ܢܳܐ ܕ݁ܶܐܫܪܶܐ ܥܰܪܩܶܐ ܕ݁ܰܡܣܳܢܰܘܗ݈ܝ܂

He it is that cometh after me, and was before me, whose shoe-strings I am not worthy to untie.
28 ܗܳܠܶܝܢ ܒ݁ܒ݂ܶܝܬ݂ܥܰܢܝܳܐ ܗܘܰܝ ܒ݁ܥܶܒ݂ܪܳܐ ܕ݁ܝܽܘܪܕ݁ܢܳܢ ܐܰܝܟ݁ܳܐ ܕ݁ܡܰܥܡܶܕ݂
ܗ݈ܘܳܐ ܝܽܘܚܰܢܳܢ܂

ܠܘܳܬ݂ܶܗ ܘܶܐܡܰܪ ܗܳܐ ܐܶܡܪܶܗ ܕ݁ܰܐܠܳܗܳܐ ܗܰܘ ܕ݁ܫܳܩܶܠ ܚܛܺܝܬ݂ܶܗ ܕ݁ܥܳܠܡܳܐ܂

The day after, John saw Jesus coming towards him, and said: Behold, the Lamb of God, that beareth the sin of the world.
30 ܗܳܢܰܘ ܕ݁ܶܐܢܳܐ ܐܶܡܪܶܬ݂ ܥܠܰܘܗ݈ܝ ܕ݁ܒ݂ܳܬ݂ܰܪܝ ܐܳܬ݂ܶܐ ܓ݁ܰܒ݂ܪܳܐ ܘܰܗܘܳܐ ܠܶܗ
ܩܕ݂ܳܡܰܝ ܡܶܛܽܠ ܕ݁ܩܰܕ݂ܡܳܝ ܗ݈ܽܘ ܡܶܢܝ܂

This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man, who is before me, for he was prior to me.
31 ܘܶܐܢܳܐ ܠܳܐ ܝܳܕ݂ܰܥ ܗ݈ܘܺܝܬ݂ ܠܶܗ
ܐܶܠܳܐ ܕ݁ܢܶܬ݂ܺܝܕ݂ܰܥ ܠܺܐܝܣܪܳܝܶܠ ܡܶܛܽܠ ܗܳܢܳܐ ܐܶܬ݂ܺܝܬ݂ ܐܶܢܳܐ ܕ݁ܰܒ݂ܡܰܝܳܐ ܐܰܥܡܶܕ݂܂

And I knew him not; but that he might be known to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.
32 ܘܰܐܣܗܶܕ݂ ܝܽܘܚܰܢܳܢ ܘܶܐܡܰܪ ܕ݁ܰܚܙܺܝܬ݂ ܠܪܽܘܚܳܐ ܕ݁ܢܳܚܬ݁ܳܐ ܡܶܢ ܫܡܰܝܳܐ
ܐܰܝܟ݂ ܝܰܘܢܳܐ ܘܩܰܘܝܰܬ݂ ܥܠܰܘܗ݈ܝ܂

And John testified, and said: I saw the Spirit descend from heaven, as a dove, and rest upon him.
33 ܘܶܐܢܳܐ ܠܳܐ ܝܳܕ݂ܰܥ ܗ݈ܘܺܝܬ݂ ܠܶܗ ܐܶܠܳܐ
ܡܰܢ ܕ݁ܫܰܕ݁ܪܰܢܝ ܕ݁ܰܐܥܡܶܕ݂ ܒ݁ܡܰܝܳܐ ܗܽܘ ܐܶܡܰܪ ܠܺܝ ܕ݁ܰܐܝܢܳܐ ܕ݁ܚܳܙܶܐ ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁ ܕ݁ܢܳܚܬ݁ܳܐ
ܪܽܘܚܳܐ ܘܰܡܩܰܘܝܳܐ ܥܠܰܘܗ݈ܝ ܗܳܢܰܘ ܡܰܥܡܶܕ݂ ܒ݁ܪܽܘܚܳܐ ܕ݁ܩܽܘܕ݂ܫܳܐ܂

And I did not know him; but he who sent me to baptize with water, he said to me- On whom thou seest the Spirit descend, and rest upon him, he baptizeth with the Holy Spirit.
34 ܘܶܐܢܳܐ
ܚܙܺܝܬ݂ ܘܰܐܣܗܕ݂ܶܬ݂ ܕ݁ܗܳܢܰܘ ܒ݁ܪܶܗ ܕ݁ܰܐܠܳܗܳܐ܂

And I saw; and I testify, that this is the Son of God.
35 ܘܰܠܝܰܘܡܳܐ ܐ݈ܚܪܺܢܳܐ ܩܳܐܶܡ
ܗ݈ܘܳܐ ܝܽܘܚܰܢܳܢ ܘܰܬ݂ܪܶܝܢ ܡܶܢ ܬ݁ܰܠܡܺܝܕ݂ܰܘܗ݈ܝ܂

And the next day, John was standing, and two of his disciples.
36 ܘܚܳܪ ܒ݁ܝܶܫܽܘܥ ܟ݁ܰܕ݂
ܡܗܰܠܶܟ݂ ܘܶܐܡܰܪ ܗܳܐ ܐܶܡܪܶܗ ܕ݁ܰܐܠܳܗܳܐ܂

And he looked upon Jesus as he walked, and said: Behold, the Lamb of God !
37 ܘܰܫܡܰܥܘ ܬ݁ܪܰܝܗܽܘܢ
ܬ݁ܰܠܡܺܝܕ݂ܰܘܗ݈ܝ ܟ݁ܰܕ݂ ܐܶܡܰܪ ܘܶܐܙܰܠܘ ܠܗܽܘܢ ܒ݁ܳܬ݂ܪܶܗ ܕ݁ܝܶܫܽܘܥ܂

And his two disciples heard him when he said [it], and they went after Jesus.
38 ܘܶܐܬ݂ܦ݁ܢܺܝ ܝܶܫܽܘܥ ܘܰܚܙܳܐ ܐܶܢܽܘܢ ܕ݁ܳܐܬ݂ܶܝܢ ܒ݁ܳܬ݂ܪܶܗ ܘܶܐܡܰܪ ܠܗܽܘܢ
ܡܳܢܳܐ ܒ݁ܳܥܶܝܢ ܐܢ݈ܬ݁ܽܘܢ ܐܳܡܪܺܝܢ ܠܶܗ ܪܰܒ݁ܰܢ ܐܰܝܟ݁ܳܐ ܗܳܘܶܐ ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁܂

And Jesus turned, and saw them coming after him, and he said to them: What seek ye? They said to him: Our Rabbi, where stayest thou?
39 ܐܳܡܰܪ ܠܗܽܘܢ ܬ݁ܰܘ ܘܬ݂ܶܚܙܽܘܢ ܗܶܢܽܘܢ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܐܶܬ݂ܰܘ ܘܰܚܙܰܘ ܐܰܝܟ݁ܳܐ
ܕ݁ܗܳܘܶܐ ܘܰܠܘܳܬ݂ܶܗ ܗܘܰܘ ܝܰܘܡܳܐ ܗܰܘ ܘܺܐܝܬ݂ ܗ݈ܘܰܝ ܐܰܝܟ݂ ܫܳܥܶܐ ܥܣܰܪ܂

He said to them: Come, and see. And they came and saw where he lodged; and they were with him that day, for it was about the tenth hour.
40 ܚܰܕ݂ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܡܶܢ ܗܳܢܽܘܢ ܕ݁ܰܫܡܰܥܘ ܡܶܢ ܝܽܘܚܰܢܳܢ ܘܶܐܙܰܠܘ ܒ݁ܳܬ݂ܪܶܗ
ܕ݁ܝܶܫܽܘܥ ܐܺܝܬ݂ܰܘܗ݈ܝ ܗ݈ܘܳܐ ܐܰܢܕ݁ܪܶܐܘܳܣ ܐܰܚܽܘܗ݈ܝ ܕ݁ܫܶܡܥܽܘܢ܂

And one of those who heard John and went after Jesus was Andrew, the brother of Simon.
41 ܗܳܢܳܐ
ܚܙܳܐ ܠܽܘܩܕ݂ܰܡ ܠܫܶܡܥܽܘܢ ܐܰܚܽܘܗ݈ܝ ܘܶܐܡܰܪ ܠܶܗ ܐܶܫܟ݁ܰܚܢܳܝܗ݈ܝ ܠܰܡܫܺܝܚܳܐ܂

He first saw Simon his brother, and said to him: We have found the Messiah.
42 ܘܰܐܝܬ݁ܝܶܗ ܠܘܳܬ݂ ܝܶܫܽܘܥ ܘܚܳܪ ܒ݁ܶܗ ܝܶܫܽܘܥ ܘܶܐܡܰܪ ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁ ܗ݈ܽܘ ܫܶܡܥܽܘܢ
ܒ݁ܪܶܗܕ݁ܝܰܘܢܳܐ ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁ ܬ݁ܶܬ݂ܩܪܶܐ ܟ݁ܺܐܦ݂ܳܐ܂

And he brought him to Jesus. And Jesus looked upon him, and said Thou art Simon the son of Jona; thou shalt be called Cephas.
43 ܘܰܠܝܰܘܡܳܐ ܐ݈ܚܪܺܢܳܐ ܨܒ݂ܳܐ
ܝܶܫܽܘܥ ܠܡܶܦ݁ܰܩ ܠܰܓ݂ܠܺܝܠܳܐ ܘܶܐܫܟ݁ܰܚ ܠܦ݂ܺܝܠܺܝܦ݁ܳܘܣ ܘܶܐܡܰܪ ܠܶܗ ܬ݁ܳܐ ܒ݁ܳܬ݂ܰܪܝ܂

The next day, Jesus was disposed to depart for Galilee: and he found Philip and said to him, Come after me.

ܡܕ݂ܺܝܢ݈ܬ݁ܶܗ ܕ݁ܰܐܢܕ݁ܪܶܐܘܳܣ ܘܰܕ݂ܫܶܡܥܽܘܢ܂

And Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Simon.
45 ܘܦ݂ܺܝܠܺܝܦ݁ܳܘܣ ܐܶܫܟ݁ܰܚ
ܠܢܰܬ݂ܰܢܰܝܺܐܝܠ ܘܶܐܡܰܪ ܠܶܗ ܗܰܘ ܕ݁ܰܟ݂ܬ݂ܰܒ݂ ܥܠܰܘܗ݈ܝ ܡܽܘܫܶܐ ܒ݁ܢܳܡܽܘܣܳܐ ܘܒ݂ܰܢܒ݂ܺܝܶܐ
ܐܶܫܟ݁ܰܚܢܳܝܗ݈ܝ ܕ݁ܝܶܫܽܘܥ ܗ݈ܽܘ ܒ݁ܰܪ ܝܰܘܣܶܦ݂ ܡܶܢ ܢܳܨܪܰܬ݂܂

And Philip found Nathaniel, and said to him: We have found him, of whom Moses wrote in the law, and the prophets, Jesus the son of Joseph, who is of Nazareth.
46 ܐܳܡܰܪ ܠܶܗ
ܢܰܬ݂ܰܢܰܝܺܐܝܠ ܡܶܢ ܢܳܨܪܰܬ݂ ܡܶܫܟ݁ܰܚ ܡܶܕ݁ܶܡ ܕ݁ܛܳܒ݂ ܢܶܗܘܶܐ ܐܳܡܰܪ ܠܶܗ ܦ݂ܺܝܠܺܝܦ݁ܳܘܣ
ܬ݁ܳܐ ܘܬ݂ܶܚܙܶܐ܂

Nathaniel said to him: Can there be any good thing from Nazareth? Philip said to him: Come, and see.
47 ܘܰܚܙܳܝܗ݈ܝ ܝܶܫܽܘܥ ܠܢܰܬ݂ܰܢܰܝܺܐܝܠ ܟ݁ܰܕ݂ ܐܳܬ݂ܶܐ ܠܘܳܬ݂ܶܗ
ܘܶܐܡܰܪ ܥܠܰܘܗ݈ܝ ܗܳܐ ܫܰܪܺܝܪܳܐܝܺܬ݂ ܒ݁ܰܪ ܐܺܝܣܪܳܝܶܠ ܕ݁ܢܶܟ݂ܠܳܐ ܠܰܝܬ݁ ܒ݁ܶܗ܂

And Jesus saw Nathaniel coming towards him, and said of him: Behold a real Israelite, in whom is no deceit.
48 ܐܳܡܰܪ ܠܶܗ ܢܰܬ݂ܰܢܰܝܺܐܝܠ ܡܶܢ ܐܰܝܡܶܟ݁ܳܐ ܝܳܕ݂ܰܥ ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁ ܠܺܝ ܐܳܡܰܪ ܠܶܗ
ܝܶܫܽܘܥ ܥܰܕ݂ܠܳܐ ܢܶܩܪܶܝܟ݂ ܦ݂ܺܝܠܺܝܦ݁ܳܘܣ ܟ݁ܰܕ݂ ܬ݁ܚܶܝܬ݂ ܬ݁ܺܬ݁ܳܐ ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁ ܚܙܺܝܬ݂ܳܟ݂܂

Nathaniel said to him: Whence knowest thou me? Jesus said to him: Before Philip called thee when thou wast under the fig-tree, I saw thee.
49 ܥܢܳܐ ܢܰܬ݂ܰܢܰܝܺܐܝܠ ܘܶܐܡܰܪ ܠܶܗ ܪܰܒ݁ܺܝ ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁ ܗ݈ܽܘ ܒ݁ܪܶܗ ܕ݁ܰܐܠܳܗܳܐ
ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁ ܗ݈ܽܘ ܡܰܠܟ݁ܶܗ ܕ݁ܺܐܝܣܪܳܝܶܠ܂

Nathaniel answered, and said to him: Rabbi; thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.
50 ܐܳܡܰܪ ܠܶܗ ܝܶܫܽܘܥ ܥܰܠ ܕ݁ܶܐܡܪܶܬ݂
ܠܳܟ݂ ܕ݁ܰܚܙܺܝܬ݂ܳܟ݂ ܬ݁ܚܶܝܬ݂ ܬ݁ܺܬ݁ܳܐ ܡܗܰܝܡܶܢ ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁ ܕ݁ܪܰܘܪܒ݂ܳܢ ܡܶܢ ܗܳܠܶܝܢ ܬ݁ܶܚܙܶܐ܂

Jesus said to him: Because I said to thee, that I saw thee under the fig-tree, believest thou? Thou wilt see greater things than these.
51 ܐܳܡܰܪ ܠܶܗ ܐܰܡܺܝܢ ܐܰܡܺܝܢ ܐܳܡܰܪ ܐ݈ܢܳܐ ܠܟ݂ܽܘܢ ܕ݁ܡܶܢ ܗܳܫܳܐ ܬ݁ܶܚܙܽܘܢ
ܫܡܰܝܳܐ ܕ݁ܰܦ݂ܬ݂ܺܝܚܺܝܢ ܘܡܰܠܰܐܟ݂ܰܘܗ݈ܝ ܕ݁ܰܐܠܳܗܳܐ ܟ݁ܰܕ݂ ܣܳܠܩܺܝܢ ܘܢܳܚܬ݁ܺܝܢ ܠܘܳܬ݂ ܒ݁ܪܶܗ

He said to him: Verily, verily, I say to you, That hereafter ye will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending unto the Son of man.
